OUR GOAL: The Academy of Medical and Health Sciences is a 4 year college prep program with an emphasis is health and medicine. Our aim is to prepare students for college/training programs, the professional world, to expose them to the hundreds of allied health career options, and fulfill high school requirements with a medical and health twist.

COURSES:

9th grade: Health Essentials, AVID suggested

10th grade: Medical Biology (reqd for graduation), AVID suggested

11th grade: Medical Chemistry (reqd for graduation) and Medical English

12th grade: Anatomy and Medical PE

A: The priveledges---college mentors, field trips to institutions of higher learning and hospitals, guest speakers, use of medical equipment, internship opportunities and a tight network of teachers, students, administrators, counselors and community partners to support you as you strive to meet your goals

Q: I am an honors student. Can I join the Academy?

A: Yes! We will work with you if you would like to substitute AP/honors courses for an Academy course on a case-by-case basis.

A: Students interested in entering the medical/health/science field
