Welcome to a Brand New Year!!!!

Welcome to Mt. Miguel High School. Where on the first day of school, this truly will be the first day of the next four years of your life. If your reading this message, then you must be in my year long Geography course. It is my sincerest of hopes that you will take full advantage of this opportunity to learn about the world in which you live in. The decisions that have been made in our past as a nation and as a society we must deal with the environmental effects that plague our world. What decisions will we make for future generations? How will you be apart of this process? What kind of world would you like to leave behind for your children and grandchildren? These are the type of questions we will be exploring in this course this year.

Geography is much more than reading and decoding a map. It is about cultures, the development of countries, the effects that we as an international society have had on our world. I ask each student to take these issues seriously as we must learn to at the very least stop and at the very best learn to reverse the various effects to what researchers are calling Global Warming.

I hope that you get excited about this course, because I am and the fun that can be had.
